Connect a LED Lights to the ceiling.
Connect a LED Lights to the ceiling.
Whether fixed or adjustable, dimmable (dimmable) or not, The LED spot quickly replaces old Lights such as halogen. It is now the essential
accessory to create a design and elegant lighting. The set blends easily into
the decor and arises in a few simple steps.
Find your LED spot:
If you have not found the right model yet, here is a
selection of LED Lights. You can also find out more about the calculation to determine
how many spot LEDs per m2 you need. Once your spot is found, you must choose
the locations. If generally the Lights are installed in line with fixed or
staggered spacing’s, it is interesting to break these lines to avoid a too
linear design. For example, you can create a set of 4 Lights in squares above a
table or add a spot ready for a table or an item to highlight. You can also
play on the spacing between Lights to create more or less screened /
illuminated lighting environments.
Here's how to connect a LED Lights
The necessary equipment:
Before setting up your LED Lights, make sure you have the
following tools and accessories:
- · LED Lights
- · 2 or 3 wire electrical connection terminals
- · Junction box
- · A hole saw according to the mounting diameter, the LED recessed bracket
- · Cutting pliers to cut the electric cable
- · A wire stripper to strip the ends of the cables
- · A pencil
- · One meter
- · Cutting and drilling
Attention, before drilling it is important to turn off the power!!
Once this precaution is taken you can draw pencil crosses
where the Lights will be installed. Pay attention to the placement of these so
as not to encounter any pipes or electrical conduits. You can then drill
directly into the ceiling where you have located the holes. If your spot has a
transformer you can put it in a junction box, for example, to prevent it from
contacting the insulation. This avoids heating and guarantees a longer life.
Finally, check that you have enough ceiling height to install the spot.
LED spot installation:
Once the holes are drilled, we can proceed to the
installation of the LED Lights. In this step, the LED Lights must be
electrically connected and then recessed. For this, it is best to start with
the spot having the 230V power supply. It must be connected via the socket or
the driver and using 3P connection terminals (placed in a junction box), then
pass the ducts to the next hole in order to realize an electrical network. Once
this step did you can embed the spot. Usually, it is enough to raise the
springs, to pass the spot in the hole and it is embedded directly.
Test the installation:
Once all the Lights connected you can turn the power back on
and test the installation. In the event of a problem, you can test the
installation (after turning off the power) by starting from the first spot and
gradually connecting to the last spot.
The downlight LED ceiling is ideal for living rooms (living
room, kitchen, and bathroom, bedrooms) to create a modern look. These Lights
connect directly to the 220V network and install easily; they perfectly replace
the old energy-consuming halogen Lights. Generally, a 5W LED Lights can replace
a conventional halogen 50W is saving more than 80% on your electricity bill.
